Dr. Durant holds a PhD in counseling and a MA in marriage and family therapy. She is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the state of Maine, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Minnesota, a Licensed Mental Health Clinician (LMHC) in the state of Washington, and a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). She is also an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS). She has experience working in numerous community mental health settings providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families with a wide variety of presenting concerns.

 

Dr. Durant works as an adjunct professor teaching courses in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She offers trainings in schools and in the community on topics including the treatment of trauma and grief, and provides supervision to clinicians in training. She currently serves as a director on the board for Fine Mind Community Health, a not-for-profit organization which facilitates mental health treatments in Uganda.

Caitlin received her MA in counseling psychology from the University of Hawai’i at Hilo. She is an Associate of Licensed Clinical Counseling (APCC) in the state of California and a Conditionally Licensed Clinical Counselor (LCPC-C) in the state of Maine. She has experience working with a variety of different multicultural, socioeconomic, and trauma backgrounds. Caitlin also has experience working with individuals, youth, and complex family systems.

 

In addition to her clinical practice, Caitlin also serves as the Editorial Associate to The Counseling Psychologist, a scholarly journal devoted to publishing new advances in research, training, and practice in the field of counseling psychology.
